Stora Enso Beihai Well-Prepared for EUDR Implementation to Support Customers Exporting to EU
2025-07-23
After a one-year delay, the new EU Deforestation-Free Regulation (EUDR) will officially replace the existing EU Timber Regulation and come into force in all EU member states on December 30, 2025.

Since 2023, Stora Enso Beihai Factory has been actively preparing solutions to provide EUDR-compliant products for customers exporting from China to the EU.
As the implementation of the regulation is approaching, here is their latest progress report:
In March 2025, Stora Enso commissioned a third-party institution to complete a comprehensive EUDR risk assessment. The assessment results showed that it meets the compliance standards specified by EUDR in the three core dimensions of traceability, environmental compliance and social responsibility. This means that its raw materials can stand up to layers of traceability, the forest management is scientific, and labor rights and interests are protected.
Since April 2025, Stora Enso Beihai Factory has officially started accepting EUDR orders.
For customers who place EUDR orders, it can provide EUDR compliance traceability reports simultaneously, helping customers complete EUDR DDS declarations more easily and confidently, and ensuring smooth customs clearance in the EU market.
Stora Enso Beihai is a non-EU enterprise and does not meet the registration requirements of the EU TRACE platform.
But this is not a problem!
It has completed the construction of Stora Enso's independent data traceability system, which has now been officially launched.
Customers can enter the traceability system through the order number or product roll number to query, and can easily obtain EUDR DDS reports, including: plot geographic coordinates, plot area, tree species, reference number, verification number, traceability certificate, compliance certificate and other necessary information for EUDR DDS declaration.
